Kamal’s project with Selvaraghavan is being discussed a lot especially for his pairing with Sonakshi Sinha who is 33 years younger than him. Kamal Hassan who likes to involve in the other aspects of his film to gain perfection, has now decided to have Shankar Mahadevan compose music for the film. Kamal has used different music directors for his films, not to forget the biggest surprise he sprung by roping in Himesh Reshmiyya for Dasavatharam.
When Shankar was asked about it, the singer-music director has confirmed that he has indeed been approached to work on the project and that the final decision hasn’t been made yet. The trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy is highly popular and successful up the north and we hope they taste success down south too.

Massive news if true. Selvaraghavan is one of the best south indian directors and all his films have great music. Fingers crossed! _________________

I can’t talk about the music, but it’s an interesting film. We are so excited to work with Kamal sir after a long time. We have done an exciting Kathak-based song. Kamal learnt Kathak from Birju Maharaj for the film. There’s another training song, which is more anthemic. We have recorded three songs so far. Vairamuthu Ramaswamy Thevar has writing the lyrics. Sure enough it’s the most awaited film as it’s also directed by Kamal sir, we have seen the footage; it’s a wonderful film with great texture. |

Sony bags Viswaroopam audio rights
Sony Music have reportedly bagged the audio rights of Viswaroopam in all three languages - Tamil, Hindi and Telugu. The news was announced by a spokesperson from Sony who broke the news on their behalf.
"We are happy to be associated with Kamal Haasan's Viswaroopam music in all three languages that the film is releasing. Kamal Haasan films are associated with good music. The audio will hit the stores by the end of November" he said while talking to the press.
The film starring Kamal Haasan, Rahul Bose and Andrea has music scored by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. Vairamuthu, Javed Akhtar, Vennelakanti have penned the lyrics for the Tamil, Hindi and Telugu versions respectively. Viswaroopam's audio was initially planned to release on the 7th of November, on Kamal Hassan's birthday. The event was rumoured to take place in Chennai, Coimbatore and Madurai on the same date with the star set to fly over to each venues himself and take part in the audio launch. But due to Cyclone Nilam, the plans got postponed and we now have no word of when the soundtrack will officially get released. But, the confirmation from Sony should mean that it's wont take too long now.
